I decided I need a hobby so I can stop doomscrolling. So here we are again, making clay. Now, one of you asked me to make the Jellycat pancakes. So I figured, why not challenge myself and turn it into a little photo holder? I started by rolling out three equal-sized balls and then squished them down into pancake shapes. Then I used some orange eyeshadow to give it a golden color, and I don't even know if I'm meant to be using makeup, but it seemed to do the trick. After that, I added its little face and legs. And then came the part that could either make or break this whole thing. I used a metal ruler to create a slot for the photo, and I was fully expecting the pancakes to collapse, but thank goodness they survived. For the syrup, I used clear and orange nail polish to drip it along the edges and on top of the pancakes, and it turned out so good. And then obviously, pancakes need toppings, so I made these tiny blueberries to go on top. And it really finished the whole thing off. Then it went into the oven for 20 minutes and thankfully, it came out perfect. I think this might be my favorite thing I've made so far. And I'm honestly so addicted to making clay right now. So let me know what Jellycat I should make next.
