The Organised Method

Meet The Organised Mum – Gemma Bray – a Sunday Times bestselling author, and the voice behind a movement that’s helped hundreds of thousands reclaim their time, homes, and sense of self.

Why it worked

The video breaks down a potentially overwhelming task (organizing Christmas) into manageable weekly steps, making it feel achievable. It also leverages FOMO (fear of missing out) by highlighting the need to book popular events and items early, and by emphasizing the limited stock of special advent calendars.

Summary

The video provides the first week's tasks for an "Organised Christmas" challenge. It encourages viewers to review past Christmas audits, consider supermarket delivery savers, book events and travel early, and start saving money. The creator also mentions that the tasks are available and customizable within "The Organised Method" app.

Structure

1Introduction to the "Organised Christmas" challenge and Week 1 tasks.
2Reviewing past Christmas audits and looking into supermarket delivery savers.
3Booking Christmas events and travel early.

🎉🎄WEEK 1 And we’re OFF!!!! Welcome to #organisedchristmas Here’s your list of tasks for this week 🎉 ❤️Pick the bits the apply and ditch the rest! Remember if you want a handy customisable tick list then we’ve got you covered over in @the_organised_method Ok yours tasks .... 🎄For those of you who followed along last year, dig out your xmas audit and arm yourself with your findings from last December to keep you on track. We love a bit of data! 🎄Look into supermarket delivery savers, if you don’t use one it is time to sort your supermarket delivery saver. Christmas slots go fast. Sign up for a delivery saver pass if you can to help you grab your slot before the rest of the world beats you to it. 🎄Get booking Santa and Christmas events NOW. The good ones sell out. Panto? Ice skating? Winter markets? This is your year. Book now to spread the cost and avoid the disappointment of sold-out shows. 🎄Plan Christmas get-togethers. Pick a date, send save-the-date cards/texts/emails. Remember to sort the babysitters. Diaries fill up frighteningly fast from October onwards. 🎄Book Christmas travel. Train and flight prices only go one way the closer you get. Book now and thank yourself later. 🎄Order Advent calendars. Yes, already! Beauty, chocolate, candles. The good ones sell out well before December. Order now and save yourself the scramble. If your fave isn’t on sale yet, set a reminder and circle back. 🎄Start putting any money you can spare to one side now to help with the budget. Ok we’re under way :) See you next week!
