at 50 i was tired and puffy and blaming everything except what was on my plate. i didn’t cut anything out. i just started eating for drainage. the 10 things i’ve eaten on repeat since: 🥬 kimchi, most days -> most of your lymph tissue sits along your gut, and fermented food feeds the bacteria next to it 🥑 avocado, half with almost anything -> potassium decides whether fluid sits in your tissue or moves. most of us get plenty of salt and almost none of it 🍳 protein at every single meal -> the biggest one. the protein in your blood holds fluid inside the vessels. eat too little and it leaks into your ankles 🐟 oily fish twice a week -> inflamed vessels leak more than calm ones. the cheapest fix on this list 🍍 fresh pineapple, never tinned -> bromelain, the enzyme studied for swelling after surgery. tinned is heat treated and it’s gone 🍊 whole citrus, pith and all -> the white part everyone picks off is where the flavonoids are, and they stop capillary walls leaking. dark berries do the same job 🌿 parsley and celery, in everything -> the oldest diuretic foods there are, and unlike a pill they don’t strip your potassium out with it 🧄 seaweed soup, once a week -> minerals and iodine. korean women have eaten this after giving birth for centuries, for the swelling 💧 water with a pinch of sea salt, first thing -> plain water goes straight through you. the minerals pull it into the cells 🧬 NMN, every morning -> supporting healthy NMN levels has become part of my inside-out healthy-aging routine alongside the basics. it’s one of the supplements i recommend for supporting cellular energy and normal cellular maintenance. (the exact one i use is linked in my bio) your body doesn’t hold fluid because you ate salt. it holds it because nothing is helping it let go. comment “GLOW” and i’ll send you the NMN supplement i recommend. ❤️ follow me for more healthy-aging videos #womenover50 #healthying #puffiness #nmn #usa
