Portugal has legally banned bosses from contacting workers after hours 🇵🇹📵 The country introduced a “right to disconnect” in 2021, requiring employers to refrain from contacting employees during their rest periods, except in exceptional circumstances. The rules apply to messages, calls and other work related contact outside normal working hours. The law is designed to help protect workers’ work life balance and prevent employees from feeling pressured to stay connected to work when they are off the clock.
