I was uninvited to a local influencer event today
I understand the exchange of content for this and was delighted to receive the invitation personally. I take pride in the opportunities that have been presented and love sharing new things to do locally. It is usually very well received with my audience. I was never asked for my follower count or details such as this but was very excited to attend and share on all 3 platforms voluntarily. The invitation read as if I was personally invited and expected to share the experience with my audience. I'm disappointed to have had the invitation and then have it taken away. Respectfully, I hope your event goes well and hope this is a lesson learned for future collaborations.

Please note we had a change in date
Hi Dana, my apologies but the brand I'm working with has asked that attendees have a min of 2.5k as a minimum I will consider you for another event my apologies for any inconvenience
To confirm the event was so sent out last week so not sure where the several weeks came from we have moved the date to the 17th to allow for more attendees to get involved. The idea of the events is to work with local influencers give you a great experience the "no" came from the Instagram alone our min for our free events is 2.5k You must send all the platforms so we can approve wit my the brands we work with. I have to go back to them with this is shouldn't be a problem. Please understand from a brands point of view we want to showcase our experiences which means we need to know the combine reach of each of our attendees to ensure it's worthwhile to have a free event. Venue, drinks, food, goodie bags it's an exchange of service we'd happily welcome you.
Wow. I'm speechless. I'm assuming you mean on Instagram because on all platforms combined (Instagram, Facebook and tik tok) I've got 25k plus. My reach averages about 1 million per month and my engagement is very strong. I have been invited for several weeks and have been quite excited to attend this event. I've been sharing already that I had planned to go. This is incredibly disappointing and I really am at a loss for words.
