Why it worked

The video leverages a popular beauty trend ('Angelina Jolie lips') and a relatable "dupe" or "hack" format, encouraging viewer engagement through a question about the final look.

Summary

The creator tries a lip combination inspired by Angelina Jolie, first using a NYX lip liner to overline her lips and then applying a gloss from BOOM. She seems pleased with the result.

Structure

1Applying NYX lip liner to overline lips
2Rubbing lips together
3Applying BOOM lip gloss
4Pouting and assessing the final look

Product placement

NYX: ACTS - used to overline lips to create a fuller pout. Removing it would change the result of the makeup application. BOOM: ACTS - used to add gloss and plumpness to the lips. Removing it would change the final lip look.
