We literally had to jack up our RV to get out of this campsite. Our last campsite was extremely unlevel and basically all sand, and our RV leveling jacks threw an "out of stroke" error. The front landing gear wouldn't lift, which meant we couldn't even get our fifth wheel back on the truck. We spent all night and the next day working to get the RV level, using blocks and getting some help manually moving things into place. Then, when it was finally time to leave... the landing gear still wouldn't lift. So we made a trip to O'Reilly, grabbed a better jack, safely lifted some of the weight off the RV frame, and were finally able to get the landing gear working enough to retract, lift, and hook the fifth wheel back up. Definitely one of those RV life moments you don't expect. If you're a full-time RV family, fifth wheel owner, or learning how to troubleshoot RV leveling jacks and landing gear, SAVE this one. You never know when you'll need to improvise to get your RV moving again. #RVLife #fifthwheel #RVTips #RVLifeWithKids #RVTroubleshooting
