This honestly made me so angry. This is my favorite Little Free Library and the only one in the Royal Oak subdivision in Titusville. I stopped by today to drop off some books and found it completely empty with this note. Someone took every single book—books the owner paid for herself—to resell them. Little Free Libraries are built on kindness and trust. People spend their own money, donate their own books, maintain the libraries, and make them available so others in the community can enjoy reading. They are not free inventory for someone to clear out and turn around for a profit. I visited this one almost every week. I donated books, picked up books, and always enjoyed seeing what was inside because whoever stocked it clearly shared my taste in reading. Now it’s temporarily closed because someone decided their own greed mattered more than the entire community. It’s absolutely shameful, and I truly hope they don’t make a single dollar from those books.
