I've travelled to 27 countries completely solo, and if I could go back, these are the ones that I would recommend. I think a really good place to solo travel for the first time is Switzerland. Not only is it absolutely stunning, but it felt so safe when I was there. They're also very English friendly. I feel like all the locals speak multiple languages. It's the only place that I would recommend going on a solo hike. Um, it's probably the number one place that I felt safe and it just. It's pretty easy to navigate. Number two is Iceland. I feel like it has such an adventurous feeling that it is the perfect place for a solo traveller. If you've ever watched a movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, a lot of the shots are filmed there, but it literally has that spirit. It's also pretty English friendly, and when I was there I stayed in a hostel and just the environment there. It's also so safe, especially if you go in the summer. It literally stays bright all night. You can hike at like midnight. I rented a car and just drove around the island and saw all these waterfalls, wild horses. It was literally the best time of my life. Number three is Japan for me. It also felt really safe, so pretty easy to navigate if you have your phone and literally just follow Google Maps. And I also just feel like, there's a lot of things to do there that you could do as a solo traveller, from matcha shop to walking the busy streets. I had so much fun as a solo traveller, and the last one I'll mention is Barcelona. When I was there, I stayed in a hostel. I found so much to do, I did so many group tours, met so many people. I feel like the spirit there is really good, and it also it felt safe for me. Obviously do your due diligence, but it was so much fun and I cannot recommend it more.
