The Sydney Sweeney sports ad Today I woke up and I realized everybody was pissed off at Sydney Sweeney. And I'm like, what did this young lady do now to offend the masses? So she did an ad for something called Just Sports and when I clicked on it I was like, "tits." I was like, yeah, tits, okay, I got it. I got it. Now I saw this without seeing the controversy online. I just knew people were upset about it. So I watched it with an unbiased face. And I was like, okay, guys like football and basketball and guys like titties and hot girls. That makes sense. That's a fucking ad campaign. And then I read into what the issue was and a lot of ladies are mad because it feels like it sets women back in women's sports and that women can't be taken seriously and women are overly sexualized. And I get that. But this is what happens when uncreative people just look at data points. A bunch of people in a boardroom go like, "Okay, sports across the board, what's the demographic?" I looked that shit up. It's 62% male and 38% female. And those people in those board meetings go like, "Okay, well we need to hit the male demographic." And Sydney Sweeney's probably getting paid, if I had to guess, two to five million dollars for this ad campaign. She just started a lingerie line and her people were probably like, "Look, this could kill two birds with one stone. Do the ad." A guy would confuse me is like, isn't that progress for women? She's a woman making money off of, you know, being beautiful. I heard people argue that side about how that's empowering. And I'm all for that. Do whatever you can. If I'm making two to five million dollars for fucking 10 seconds, I'm doing it. On the counter side, I also understand that women may not be taken seriously in sports because of something like this. I don't see that because Sydney Sweeney doesn't play sports. I see Sydney Sweeney and I'm like, she's just hot. She's just a hot lady. I don't associate her with any women's sports. The only part I'm confused on is, isn't it supposed to be empowering that she should dress and do whatever she wants and she's being a woman? All that money went to her. She got paid for that and she agreed to that. That's empowering as fuck. I'm gonna do whatever I want and get this bag, right? So why tear her down because she's doing it in a different niche than like acting and modeling? She's technically just modeling just for sports. I can see why people are upset for over-sexualization for sure. That's where we are in the world. And not only that, now you have to be so fucking edgy and blow people's minds because everybody's seen everything. And there's no gender at fault really. Like men are always gonna be stupid enough to view and engage and pay for shit like that. And women got smart and we're like, cool, I'm gonna get this bag from this epidemic that's happening. And for me, it feels like a chicken versus egg argument. Because you can be mad at men for the demand for like, lustful shit. But if the lustful shit wasn't available for purchase, there would be no market. My final thoughts are this: Sydney Sweeney got a bag and she's a model and she did what models do. I don't know why the fuck everybody's mad at that lady. Please don't make this a race thing, you fucking weirdos. That's not what I'm talking about.
