INGREDIENTS: 1 pound jalapeño peppers, sliced 1/4-inch thick 8 ounces fresh pineapple, 1/2-inch dice 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup honey 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar 2 teaspoons kosher salt 3/4 teaspoon mustard seeds, (optional) 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, (optional) RECIPE: 1. Add the sliced jalapeños, diced pineapple, sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, mustard seeds, and turmeric to a medium pot. 2. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Cook, stirring often, until the jalapeños begin to wrinkle, about 5 minutes. 3. Transfer the jalapeños and pineapple to a clean jar with a slotted spoon. 4. Continue to boil the liquid until reduced by about 2/3 and the mixture looks glossy and syrupy, about 20 minutes. Pour the syrup over the jalapeños and pineapple and let cool completely at room temperature. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. 5.
