I was talking to this cancer girl yesterday, and she was saying how her past relationship, the guy did bad things, like he hurt her, but he wasn't a bad person. When she said that, I was like, this is so cancer coded, because I can totally understand what you mean. Sometimes the people that we love or we're in relationships with do bad things or they hurt us. The way that a healed cancer would look at somebody that is hurting them, understanding that this person has a problem, and that problem has nothing to do with me, but everything to do with their trauma that they have not healed. Because we're cancers, we can have this empathy and this wanting to fix, the person wanting to help, wanting to give. And unless that person wants to do the work for themselves, it is not our job to do that. But we can still have empathy. We can understand that this person is still a human being and they're just going through bad moments. But we, as cancers can decide to choose ourselves, not stick around for that kind of disrespect or that behavior. But one thing that I do love about us, that we can differentiate between the two. You've done bad things to me. You are not a bad person. Your heart isn't bad. At the end of the day, we're human. We're not perfect. They'll always have love for you if you're not willing to do the work as a healed cancer, I'm not willing to stay cause as cancers. We've been there, done that multiple times. The more you go through it, the less you deal with things like that. We can have empathy and understanding, but we're still gonna choose ourselves.
