HOW TO MAKE BOTOX 🧅✨ Okay, before anyone loses their mind: this is not botulinum toxin A. 😂 These are my “Botox” pickled red onions because we’re eating the skin-supporting foods over here. You need: * 1 red onion, thinly sliced (in this jar I used 7) * ½ cup apple cider vinegar * ½ cup water * ½–1 tsp sea salt * Optional: a little raw honey Stuff the onions into a jar. Mix the ACV, water + salt, pour it over the onions, and make sure they’re submerged. Refrigerate and let them pickle for at least a few hours, even better overnight. So why do I call them “Botox”? Red onions are naturally rich in quercetin and anthocyanins, plant compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Antioxidant-rich foods can help protect cells from oxidative stress, one of the processes involved in skin aging. They don’t paralyze your facial muscles. They don’t contain botulinum toxin. They’re just a delicious, polyphenol rich food that supports the kind of nutrition I want behind my skin. Eat your “Botox.” 🧅 follow @victoria__benitez for more
