This become tradition for me to hang the heads, hang my hat on the headstock of my guitar. When I was 18 years old, I moved away from my hometown. I wanted to prove to everyone there that I wasn't some dumb ranch kid. I want to show them that I was going to be the greatest that ever lived. And I proved that this year when I became the first in Australian history to win male artist and new artist in the same fucking year. I wanted to be a hvac technician. I moved to that town for a job and I found something a bit better. I bought a $50 guitar that took me all the way to Lexington, Kentucky. Wasn't the only thing I found in that town. I found a girl. Her name was Melanie. I thought Melanie was going to be the love of my life, ladies and gentlemen, but unfortunately, due to addiction and depression, she took her life in 2019. And I've been hanging my hat here ever since, hoping that she'd blow it away with the wind. And she proved me right in Georgetown, Texas in April this year in front of 50,000 people. And I see the phones up. I want the phones up. Post this on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, bloody hell, post it on Tinder if you need to. Because it might help someone today, tomorrow, the next day, and next month, next year, sometime. But if you need help, go find it. Call your friends and if they don't pick up the phone call, they're not your friends. I love you. You should be proud to hurt. Bottling up your emotions is one of the toughest things you'll do as a human being, so why do it? Let your laugh hit the back of the room and let your tears hit the floor and show every motherfucker you ever passed that you care. If you care about your family, that you care about your friends, but most importantly, number one, ladies and gentlemen, the number one thing that you should all be caring about is yourself. So we're going to sing a song tonight and I want all of you to sing it with me. Is that understood, Lexington, Kentucky? If I take that picture down and blow it all on the walls, but it's finally the end of the guy you were always looking for. And the signs of depression, they keep rolling around the bed and holding my last dollar and held me on the man.
