So instead of adding a traditional pavé band or another predictable halo, I wanted to change the silhouette around the stone itself. The center remains clean and elongated, while the small diamond-set details at the shoulders create a softer transition between the marquise and the band. From the top, it almost feels like the diamond is wearing its own little piece of jewelry. But the most interesting part isn’t immediately obvious. Turn the ring sideways and you begin to see how much of the design is hidden below the center stone. The setting isn’t simply there to hold the diamond. It becomes part of the personality of the ring. The gold rises gently toward the marquise, the small side details frame it without covering it, and the entire profile feels much more sculptural than a standard solitaire. That’s why I love designing rings from every angle, not just the top view. Because the front is what everyone sees. But the side profile? That’s usually where the personality lives.
