I used to grab the name brand out of habit until I found out the FDA actually requires the generic version to have the same active ingredient, same strength, same effect. Not a guess, not marketing, federal law. Went through my medicine cabinet, my cleaning supplies, and my pantry and found 4 things I was overpaying for without knowing it.
