All right, I know I don't normally review food, even though it is my passion, but this spot deserves a video. So I've been having a really hard time finding a good local Chinese spot around where I live, but today I think I found it. I went to Golden Dragon in the West Loop, I think it's on Madison. Everything I got is fantastic. Show you guys real quick, orange chicken and fried rice, and then chicken lo mein. Before I get started on the mains, the egg roll is fantastic. Every good egg roll has a little bit of peanut butter in there, this one's got it. Now the orange chicken, that's another great one. So normally the orange chicken I get from other restaurants don't have a nice kick to them, this does, and it's not overpowering. It's awesome, it's sweet, spicy, fantastic. And with that, I got chicken fried rice. You know how you go to some Chinese restaurants and the fried rice doesn't have enough dark soy in it? This place does it perfectly. Reminds me, reminds me of my favorite spot back home. And last thing I got was chicken lo mein. This has been like a new dish I've been craving. The noodles in this are fantastic, and I'm only mentioning the noodles because the last time I ordered chicken lo mein from a different restaurant, it came with like spaghetti noodles. Very weird, didn't taste good. I don't like wasting food, but I almost had to throw the whole thing out. But they did it right. These noodles are fantastic, great flavor, great chicken.
