Dip powder or builder gel? 💅

I've had dip on my nails for nine years. I'm not exaggerating. Every three weeks I've gotten a dip manicure. My boyfriend of four years doesn't know what my nails look like naked. Which is kind of crazy if you think about it. But today, I'm trying something different. I'm gonna see if my nail salon has builder gel. The one thing about gel is every nail tech I've never been able to use gel, that's why I always do dip because my nail tech says I have oily nail beds. So like when I get gel done, regular gel polish, the next day they have completely peeled off. My hair gets stuck in them, it lifts. So I'm hoping that with the builder gel, 'cause it has that layer between like the regular gel polish, that maybe it'll work better. I don't know, I'm kind of scared. 'Cause I'm trying something different. But we'll see if they can do it and if it lasts just as long as my true love, the dip manicure. They had it. Okay. I got builder gel. Pros, so much quicker and so much quicker than gel, even though I had to get like the full set. I guess next time they just fill it. So it's extra quick. Love that because dip takes forever. Other pros, they say it's better for your nails than dip because they have to grind your nail every time to get the dip off. So I guess that's kind of nice. Cons, more UV exposure. Obviously dip has no UV exposure because I get the dry top, not the gel top. Other cons, they're a little soft. Like they're definitely softer than my dip, which I'm really, really hard on my nails. So I don't know how that's gonna work. If there's any lift here, like if it gets stuck in my hair when I'm in the shower, I'm gonna have to come and get them off. So far, I like them.
