Remember the 22-year-old who ran a muscle car on fuel made entirely from plastic waste? He just did it again with a Rolls-Royce. Meet Julian Brown, founder of Jab Innovations, who spent five years developing Plasteline, a 110-octane gasoline made completely from plastic waste through microwave pyrolysis, and just ran a 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn on it in front of a live crowd in Huntsville, Alabama. The process puts plastic in a chamber with no oxygen under vacuum, and microwave energy breaks it down into fuel without burning it. It already ran Scat Packs, BMW superbikes, trucks, and now a V12 Rolls-Royce doing two drag passes on a quarter gallon. That Rolls-Royce Dawn became the first luxury vehicle and first V12 engine in history to run on fuel made entirely from plastic waste, and half the crowd thought there was no way it would start until the engine fired. Now Julian is building Mark Five, a mobile reactor that produces Plasteline on demand, and his next goal is Plasteline stations across Alabama. Is this progress or danger?
