Why it worked

The video taps into the excitement of unboxing a new, highly anticipated (though speculative) product, using visually appealing colors and a relatable decision-making process (choosing a phone case) to engage viewers.

Summary

The creator unboxes a new iPhone 18 Pro Max in glacier blue, expressing excitement about the color. She then applies a screen protector and shows off two phone cases, a teal and a pink one, before deciding which case to use.

Structure

1Unboxing the iPhone 18 Pro Max
2Applying the screen protector
3Showing off phone cases
4Deciding on a case color
5Expressing excitement about the phone

Product placement

Apple: (a) it ACTS - the iPhone 18 Pro Max is unboxed and its screen protector is applied. Removing it would change what happens in the video. (b) it merely APPEARS - a logo on the phone. Removing it would not change what happens in the video.
