Find the Pretty Engineers

College tip for all my engineers coming from a 4.0 engineer. In a previous video I said you should sit next to the nerdy kid. That's it in the front of class because they're going to ask a bunch of questions, they're going to know the answers on the homework when you need help. They're going to be able to teach you things well. They're going to keep you locked in. But I forgot about a really important archetype that's also found in these engineering classes. And that's the super organized engineer. Typically, they're the well-kept looking women. When you scan the room, you're going to see some well-kept women taking some iPad notes with some color-coded notes. That's what I'm talking about. Yes, I'm being stereotypical, but you should want to be friends with them too. You should want to sit next to them too. And they write down everything. It's fantastic. They write down what the teacher says, the tips and tricks that they have for the test, the best study guides, the best study websites, the best study material. They know when the homeworks are due, they know when this homework or that homework or the next homework are due. They know when they should start studying for the next exam. They know when the finals are. They've got everything. They've got everything written down somewhere. They're fantastic. And I found that they have 10x the organization of a typical engineer. Be friends with them. And yes, I am being stereotypical, but these are patterns that I see as a third-year engineer. Obviously, there are nerdy girls and they're organized dudes and disorganized girls and disorganized dudes and yada yada yada. Just take this with a grain of salt.
