Saw a comment that said talk about relationships in college when majoring in something difficult. And I couldn't find the comment I was trying to respond to that comment via a video so they would get a notification. But I'll still talk about it. When it comes to majoring in something difficult, the way I see it is that your career is on the line. If you fail engineering, you aren't an engineer. If you graduate, then you're an engineer. And if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend and you feel like that pulls you away from your academics, then you need to stop that relationship. I'm not saying to not be in a relationship, but you need to be with someone that's gonna help you and not hurt you, okay? I've seen people fail at college and make horrible decisions because they prioritized some girl or some guy over their own career goals. And that is a huge, huge disappointment. It happens more than you think where somebody is maybe pressured into switching their major or taking a different pathway in life because somebody else pressured them to. Don't let other people influence your entire career. Relationships come and go, your girlfriend or boyfriend of one year, you shouldn't let them dictate what major you're choosing or what pathway you want to take. I've seen people move states to go to a worse school so that they could be with their boyfriend or girlfriend when they start college. Like, in my opinion, I think that's a horrible way to go about things. You need to prioritize yourself at all costs because at the end of the day, no one's gonna help you but you. That's the way I see it.
