Build vs. Buy dilemma. Ask yourself this. Just because I can build this with AI, does it mean I should? Sometimes it can be tempting to use AI for stuff that you don't really need to, just because you can. And just because you can use AI for something, doesn't mean you should. I'll give you an example of that. So, if I want to learn Salesforce development, how to become a developer, pass the platform developer one certification with Salesforce, I could use Claude or Chat GPT to put together some learning material, to put together some quizzes for me. And it would be really cool, you know, I'd have my own versions of that stuff for forever that I could use. But, there's a really good tool out there called Focus on Force and they create study and course material to help you pass these certifications that are oftentimes like $25. It's highly likely that to build study material and quizzes with Claude or Chat GPT, you're going to consume a lot more than $25 of your tokens or usage in your plan to build that. And so, there are scenarios like that where you need to take a pause and say, just because I can build this with AI, doesn't mean I should. What are viable alternatives to AI that are more cost effective, have a stake in the market already? Because like, I could go make this quiz for the platform developer one certification for Salesforce, but Focus on Force has been doing this for years. So their questions are much more likely to be very in line with the Salesforce certification exam than what Claude or Chat GPT can build for me. Ask yourself this, just because I can build this with AI, does it mean I should? Make sure you check out viable alternatives. Cheers guys.
