It's nice It's really good Got a nice little kick to it, which I love Prawn toast The tofu lo mein salt and pepper tofu All right, so I have the prawn PRAWN CRACKER I KEPT FORGETTING! prawn crisp I've got prawn toast Chips, and then the lo mein All right So that's what we're working with here I know typically people pour the gravy all over everything I'm gonna dip for now just to try it Let me set you guys up so you can actually see what I'm eating but I'll try the toast first 'cause it's got, like sesame seeds on it I'm guessing it's some sort of shrimpy paste This we don't have at home It's just like a super buttery toast but with like obviously like a shrimpy paste on it but it's like a nice pretty decently thick paste and then it's covered in sesame So I don't mind that Okay, let me let me dip a little bit in the, uh the gravy Yeah, I like that Salt and pepper chip It's such a good flavor There's like good pepper There's like some other kind of smoky flavor It's really nice Mm Yeah I like that All right One of these crisps It's like light and airy It kinda reminds me of like how we get wonton chips at home this here I'm gonna dip this in the gravy Mm-hmm And I believe the chicken ball is supposed to go in the sweet and sour sauce that I got 'cause it said sweet and sour chicken balls So I'm just gonna dip it in here Here we go I didn't get much chicken in that at all I just ate into it and it was just like breading very hot It's good. We have like a sweet and sour chicken it's just less breaded than this These are like truly like thick unless if it's maybe just the place that I got it from All right, I'm gonna try the gravy These are all really good flavors I like it It's, like, somewhat similar but also different at the same time because I've never had prawn toast I've never had, like, prawn crackers I've never gotten chips ever at a Chinese restaurant in the US so that's all super interesting The lo mein is actually quite similar to what we have in the US but And of course which I'm gonna dip in the sweet and sour Pretty standard I like it I prefer the US version more with, like orange tofu or orange chicken and, like, uh, crab rangoons but you like what you're used to but you like what you're used to And I think it's still really good So that's good There's a lot of food here so I'm gonna go eat all of this and share it with my husband now

While in London… I had to try British Chinese Food! They call it “getting a Chinese,” but I wanted to try it out and see how it compared to American Chinese food! There are definitely similarities (sweet and sour chicken is very similar to chicken balls as is lo mein). But, there were definitely differences! I’ve never had prawn toast or chips from a Chinese restaurant in the US! Have you tried British Chinese food? 🥡Oriental Chinese Take Away Follow for more super helpful travel tips!
