Why it worked
The video likely performed well due to its visually appealing demonstration of a new, desirable feature on a highly anticipated (though speculative) product, combined with a clear, actionable takeaway and an engaging question to encourage interaction.
Summary
The creator demonstrates Apple's new Photographic Styles feature on a speculative iPhone 18 Pro Max, showcasing how the "Amber + Glow" style with high Film, Grain, and Glow settings creates a nostalgic aesthetic. The video encourages viewers to save the settings for their own shoots and asks for suggestions on future styles to test.
Structure
- 1Introduction to Photographic Styles
- 2Demonstration of "Amber + Glow" style
- 3Adjusting Film, Grain, and Glow controls
- 4Showcasing the final nostalgic image
- 5Call to action for saving settings and suggesting next styles
Product placement
Apple's new Photographic Styles ACTS - it is a feature of the iPhone camera that allows users to apply different visual styles to their photos. Removing it would change the video's topic. iPhone 18 Pro Max APPEARS - it is the device on which the Photographic Styles feature is demonstrated. Removing it would not change what happens in the video, as the focus is on the feature, not the specific phone model.

Original caption
The new Photographic Styles on the iPhone 18 Pro Max are actually insane 🎨 I shot these around Lake Arrowhead using Amber + Glow, then pushed the new Film, Grain and Glow controls all the way up. The combination adds so much character and such a nostalgic feeling to the image.
