Mining in a 3-Foot Tunnel?! 😱 ⛏️ can you imagine how miners get coal to the surface they can barely turn around this cramped space is less than 3 feet high yet it's where they work every day for most people just lying inside would feel suffocating but these miners in this extreme environment a time using nothing but basic pickaxes out of the rock one swing at a time then load the broken coal into mine carts is full a signal rope coded series of knocks to the control room above telling the operator is ready the operator receives engages the clutch and starts the a massive drum wrapped with heavy steel cable begins using a wheel and axle system enough pulling power to haul the the steep tunnel the loaded cart rolls along the dark narrow passage slowly climbing toward the surface after traveling all the way up the cart finally the mine entrance and reaches daylight the miners then a tipping frame with one smooth the cart flips over and dumps onto the ground just like that tons of coal from deep underground to the surface
