Every friend group has someone who was a main character in season 1 and now isn't even in the show anymore. Like if you have a friend group that's been around long enough, their cast turnover is actually insane. There will be people that are in old photos that were in literally every single episode. They were there every weekend, every birthday, they were on every group chat, they went on every vacation, they went on every group trip. They were always there. And now you don't even know what's going on with them. The writers wrote them out, they didn't fit the plot, they weren't great at developing their character, they didn't really mesh with anybody. And so now they're just gone. There was no finale, there was no goodbye episode, there was no big hurrah. Nobody really even realized that they were gone. They just slowly stop showing up in every episode. They slowly turned into a side character, then a guest star, and then they were gone. And there wasn't any beef, there wasn't any big events that happened. It just naturally happened. They might have gotten a new job, they moved away, they got in a relationship, or maybe they just switched friend groups. But that's all that happened. They just quietly got written off the show. And on the other end, sometimes people join season 6 and become the main character. And everybody loves them.
