A New York City kitten rescue posted an image reading "NO. F---ING. MAGA" and told conservatives, MAGA supporters, and people who say "I'm not political" they need not apply to adopt. The rescue also posted an image on the one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination with the words "Kittens. Don't. Mourn. Nazis." PETA ripped the policy, saying "shelters and rescues exist to protect animals, not to serve as political gatekeepers."
