Why it worked

The video succeeds by blending a popular, high-energy music genre (emo) with a mundane consumer experience, creating a humorous and highly shareable parody that feels like organic content rather than a traditional ad.

Summary

A creator films a comedic skit in his car while eating a Wendy's Biggie Bag and listening to a parody emo song about the brand. The video uses the "POV" format to associate the fast-food meal with a relatable, dramatic emotional experience.

Structure

1Creator pulls up to a Wendy's restaurant
2Creator sits in his car with a Biggie Bag
3Creator eats fries and a burger while lip-syncing
4Creator drinks from a Wendy's cup

Product placement

(a) Wendy's: The brand's restaurant, food packaging, and specific menu item (Biggie Bag) are operated and consumed by the creator. Removing these would change the entire premise of the video. (b) Wendy's: The brand logo appears on the building exterior and the food bag.
