Wendy's was fine until last summer so when they changed their sauces. Ugh, they used to be so good. Sweet and sour, their ghost pepper ranch, and I fucking hate ranch, but they decided they were going to change all of them and did so in the worst possible way. Honestly, who the fuck approved these new sauces? They're terrible. They're beyond terrible. I used to go to Wendy's twice a week. I haven't been in six months because I dread the idea of having to deal with their sauces. And the worst part is, their food is better than the likes of McDonald's or Burger King, and for the same relative price. The nuggets are leagues better, the fries are better, the burgers are definitely better, but I can't enjoy nuggets without sauce and I can't even get them down with their sweet chili. I used to go buy just fries down there with their ghost pepper ranch. Now it's just like a generic hot sauce that might be okay on a chicken sandwich or something, but it sucks otherwise. Definitely ruined the synergy they had with their fries. I couldn't speak on their other sauces, but with the massive dip in quality from those two alone, I doubt the others are worth a damn. Honestly, it's astounding to me that the sauces alone, the little cups they give away for free, matter that much to the food. I suppose some part of me thinks if they change these so badly, how long before they ruin the actual food? Hey, thank you so much for your comment. Yeah, these suck.
