I'm here at Walmart and I'm going to tell y'all about TVs that are actually worth it. From an engineer with an IT degree, I think I know what I'm talking about. What's the difference between an LED, a OLED, a QLED, and a Mini LED? So I'm going to tell you what's right for you. First, you need to know the difference. So an LED is nothing but a light emitting diode. Think of it as like a very, very small speck of light that just lights up. Next up is a QLED or quantum light emitting diode. Only thing it does is put a sheet in front of that LED panel and help it light up and help the colors and contrast, that's it. QLED plus is really for the most part just marketing. In my Walmart, they didn't have a OLED, but pretty much that's just organic light emitting diode. That right there, the actual pixels itself turn on and off. And a Mini LED is just a lot more LEDs than usual than you would get from the other LED. If you are in a bright room, go Mini LED. They're going to have the most brightness and they're close enough to a OLED that it still gets pretty dark when it comes to the picture and the contrast. If you are in a dark room and you're using the room for stuff like movies and whatnot, scary movies and whatnot, get yourself a OLED because they're going to have the darkest blacks and it really going to show the contrast. A QLED is just going to be a little bit richer than a regular LED and a lot brighter than a regular LED. And the only reason you need yourself a regular LED is if you just trying to have a big picture on the screen or you're going to college. You don't really care too too much about the intricate qualities, but you want yourself something just to watch TV. I hope that answered a lot of y'all's questions.
