Signora Maddalena Amodeo, 91 years old and still making gelato every day 🇮🇹 Born in 1935, Maddalena is the owner and heart of Gelateria Brivido in Rome’s Testaccio neighborhood… she opened the gelateria in 1986 and, 40 years later, still works behind the counter and makes the gelato by hand alongside her daughter and grandson Her gelato is made the old fashioned way… by hand, with fresh ingredients and no additives… she was also one of the first gelatiera to make and introduce sugar-free and vegan gelato… the zabaglione was phenomenal She works every day and says she plans to keep going until she turns 100 I can’t verify that she’s the oldest working gelatiera in the world… but at 91, she’s certainly the oldest in Italy #italy #gelato #nonna #fyp
