As a veterinary nurse, here are some of my top tips when it comes to feeding your pets. Number one is to consider the individual animal in front of you and to feed what works for both you and them. No two dogs are exactly the same and their nutritional needs can vary depending on their breed, size, age, and lifestyle. For me, as a busy full-time working mum-to-be, I personally feel confident feeding Barkleys Royal Canin's Golden Retriever diet because it's made by experts, backed by science, and tailored to his individual breed. Number two is weigh out their food at every mealtime rather than just eyeballing it. This helps control their calorie intake and can reduce the risk of overfeeding and obesity.
