Welp… we missed our stop. How? We’re not sure. We thought there were two stops in Reims for champagne tours and there were NOT. Before we realized it it was too late, the conductor said it would take 2-3 hours to get back to Reims bc there was only one train to pick us up in BFE and bring us back. The girls are resourceful, we’re calling every hotel, business, cab company, trying to find an Uber, anything and NOTHING happens bc it’s a rainy Sunday morning in the French countryside so… no one is even answering their phone. All of a sudden an off duty lady taxi driver pulls up to drop her daughter off for the train to Paris and says she’ll drive us to Reims! She did quote us €200 but ended up bait and switch asking for €400 when we got to Tattinger but… what are we going to do? Say no? She got her bag and we arrived on time for the champagne tour and didn’t get ☠️ by a strange man so a win is a win. Also, I do NOT suggest getting stranded in the middle of nowhere with a pregnant friend bc that’s a whole new level of stress for someone with medical anxiety/OCD. Obviously she’s fine but my brain kept asking “what if something happens while we’re out here stranded?!” Like stfu damn. This was actually a hilarious adventure to kick off our Paris girl’s trip and I would do it all again 🥰 now we all have a funny story about the time the three of us were very silly, stranded, and basically hitchhiked in France to get to our champagne #storytime #girlstrip #paris #reims #tourists
