Download “marhaba!” to learn Arabic 🧩 Link in Bio ARABIC GRAMMAR BREAKDOWN 👇 📖 حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْزِيرِ • حُرِّمَتْ = fiʿl māḍī majhūl (passive) • الْمَيْتَةُ = nāʾib al-fāʿil marfūʿ, the rest maʿṭūf on it Meaning: "Forbidden to you are dead meat, blood and the flesh of swine" 📖 وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ • مَا = ism mawṣūl, maʿṭūf on الْمَيْتَةُ Meaning: "and what was dedicated to other than Allah" 📖 وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ • الْمُنْخَنِقَةُ = ism fāʿil, its noun (animal) left out • النَّطِيحَةُ = faʿīla meaning mafʿūla Meaning: "and the choked, beaten, fallen and horn-killed (animals)" 📖 وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ • إِلَّا = harf istithnāʾ, مَا mustathnā manṣūb Meaning: "and what a beast has eaten, unless you slaughter it" 📖 وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَنْ تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بِالْأَزْلَامِ • أَنْ = harf naṣb, تَسْتَقْسِمُوا manṣūb Meaning: "and what is sacrificed on stone altars, and seeking decisions by arrows" 📖 ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ • ذَٰلِكُمْ = ism ishārah, mubtadaʾ • فِسْقٌ = maṣdar, khabar marfūʿ Meaning: "All that is defiance" 📖 الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ دِينِكُمْ • الَّذِينَ = ism mawṣūl, fāʿil of يَئِسَ Meaning: "Today the disbelievers have lost hope of your religion" 📖 فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ • لَا = lā al-nāhiya, تَخْشَوْهُمْ majzūm • اخْشَوْنِ = fiʿl amr, yāʾ of "Me" dropped Meaning: "So do not fear them, but fear Me" 📖 الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي • أَكْمَلْتُ = fiʿl māḍī (form IV), تُ fāʿil Meaning: "Today I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you" 📖 وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا • دِينًا = ḥāl manṣūb (or a second mafʿūl) Meaning: "and have chosen Islam as your religion" 📖 فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِإِثْمٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ • مَنْ = ism sharṭ, اضْطُرَّ fiʿl majhūl • غَيْرَ = ḥāl manṣūb, muḍāf to مُتَجَانِفٍ Meaning: "But whoever is forced by severe hunger, not inclining to sin, then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful" #quranicarabic #learnarabic #arabiclanguage
