My bad yall for not posting the video sooner im sorry😭😭 but here’s the recipe!! i wasn’t expecting anyone to want it so i dont have exact measurements apologies!! ps.. plss use whatever seasonings you’re comfortable with, you don’t have to use mine! I put my seasonings in the caption but please feel free to use your own if you choose!! :) Smothered Chicken - 2.5lbs of boneless skinless chicken thighs - about 1/2 cup of flour - about 1/4 cup of butter - about 2.5 cups of chicken broth (or water) Directions: 1. Season chicken thighs with seasoning of your choice. I use garlic powder, Tonys seasoning, black pepper, smoked paprika 2. Sear meat on high heat just enough to brown 3. Once all meat is seared, lower heat to medium, remove meat from pot and add butter to the pan 4. When butter is melted add your flour and whisk together, it may look clumpy at first but that’s okay 5. take some chicken broth (or water) and slowly add it to your flour mixture, you’re making a gravy so make sure you take your time! 6. keep adding your broth slowly while continuously whisking until you reach your desired consistency (TIP: I add a little more broth to my gravy when i’m smothering something.. the gravy will thicken up while cooking without it evaporating too much) 7. Season gravy to your liking (ANOTHER TIP: I add my seasoning before i reach my desired consistency as sometimes seasoning can be a little gritty when you add it at the end.. in simple terms, make gravy until it’s almost just right, add seasoning, then continue adding your broth and whisking) 8. When you have your desired consistency, add your chicken thighs back to the pot and turn the heat on low 9. Cook until chicken is shred-apart tender (usually i cook mine for at least 2 hours) 10. When chicken is tender serve over rice and enjoy! #chicken #smotheredchicken #DinnerIdeas #recipesoftiktok #cheapmeals
