MCoBeauty Bake & Set Loose Powder
Why it worked
The video leverages the high-demand 'dupe' culture in the beauty community, providing immediate value by comparing a new, affordable product to a well-known luxury benchmark.
Summary
The creator showcases a new loose powder from MCoBeauty, presenting it as a budget-friendly dupe for the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder. The video highlights the available shades, the price point, and the ingredients list.
Structure
- 1Introduction of the new MCoBeauty product
- 2Comparison to Huda Beauty powder
- 3Display of available shades
- 4Price disclosure
- 5Ingredients list review
Product placement
MCoBeauty: (a) ACTS; the product is shown in detail, its packaging is opened, and it is the subject of the review/comparison. Removing it would remove the entire subject of the video. Huda Beauty: (a) ACTS; it is used as the benchmark for the comparison/dupe claim. Removing it would change the context of the video. Chemist Warehouse: (b) APPEARS; it is the retail location where the product was found and the creator is tagged. Removing it would not change the product demonstration.

👀👀👀 @MCoBeauty spotted online and had to check it out instore and it’s not in stock yet except a few Sydney locations but they haven’t put it out on display yet had to ask a staff to check staff! I ended up purchasing all 3 to do a review and my thoughts and comparison on them will be posting up soon . An alternative for @Huda Beauty “SugarCookie, Cherry Blossom Cake & Pound Cake?” . @Chemist Warehouse Official @Jess From Chemist Warehouse . . . #chemistwarehouse #mcobeauty #hudabeauty #makeup #new
