4 things you and I will never buy again. Baddie hormonemaxxing. Gel polish. In September 2025, the EU banned TPO, the ingredient that hardens your gel under the lamp. It's presumed to damage fertility, yet your salon can still use it on you. Companies could have asked for an exemption, but zero did, and it's still totally legal in the US. Next appointment, ask, is this TPO-free? Ashwagandha, sold to you for cortisol and stress management, in 2023, Denmark banned it from sale. Their scientists couldn't find a safe dose, as it can push thyroid hormones up, cut sperm in animals and may end a pregnancy. No other country has followed yet, and it's still in every gummy aisle here. Trying to conceive, that's a big one to skip. Semaglutide without a prescription. Ozempic copies a hormone your gut already makes. With compounded injections though, the mixed-to-order kind, the FDA logged people injecting five to twenty times the dose they meant to. Some ended up in the hospital. So before you order, make sure there's a prescription and a licensed pharmacy. Tanning nasal spray. Melanotan 2, a lab copy of the hormone that tells your skin to make pigment. It's never been approved for humans and it's illegal to sell in Australia. There are reports of changing moles, melanoma, even kidney failure. Self-tanning lotion is totally legal. The spray isn't, so just buy the lotion. I built my deodorant for exactly these reasons, no aluminum, no fragrance, every single ingredient written out. And then I got a third party to test it. The results are going to drop before we launch officially October 26th.
