But they don't always see the trainings, tickets, medicals, waiting, boarding preparations, and all the expenses that come with the job. They also don't see the months you spend away from your family. Every time he came home, there were always expectations. People assumed he had money because he was a seafarer. But the reality was, we were often short on money. Especially when he is called for duty. And as his wife, I carried the anxiety of knowing that he would eventually have to leave again. So he made a decision. He chose consistency. He chose us. 🤍 Now, we both get to work from home, earn throughout the year, and most importantly, be present for the family we prayed and waited so long for. 🥺 Just us, working side by side, raising our baby, and building the family we have always dreamed of. Time together. Peace of mind. And the chance to watch our baby grow together. 🤍

So he made a choice. He chose consistency. He chose our family. Now, we both work from home. We earn all year round, we don’t have to spend thousands preparing for another boarding, and most importantly, we get to be present for our baby. Maybe we gave up the seafarer lifestyle.
