Children grow, but some things between a mother and her child stay beautifully familiar. ❤️ Giselle Dekel captures those connections through clever illustrations of everyday motherhood. A child’s hug gradually moves higher as they grow taller. “Mom, look what I made” takes on a different meaning years later. Small visual parallels turn familiar gestures into touching reminders of how a relationship changes while keeping something of its earliest days. Alongside those tender moments are children climbing over a mother trying to stretch, laundry that seems to multiply, and a woman imagining herself plugged into a wall to recharge. Dekel combines watercolor with Photoshop, using expressive poses, simple settings, and gentle humor to give everyday feelings a recognizable shape. A mother of three herself, she draws inspiration from the struggles and moods of daily life. Her illustrations leave room for laughter, tiredness, affection, and the need for a little time alone. Sometimes the most touching moments are the ones that feel ordinary while we’re living them. Artist: @giselle_dekel #art #illustration #motherhood #parenting #artist
