I had NO idea what I was looking at! 😳👽 I was gardening when I heard a fly struggling in my butterfly bush. When I went to investigate, I discovered this tiny creature holding onto it! After doing some research, I believe I’ve identified it as a jagged ambush bug (Phymata species). These fascinating little predators camouflage themselves among flowers, waiting for unsuspecting insects. They use powerful, mantis-like front legs to grab their prey and can even capture insects larger than themselves! The craziest part? It was hiding right in front of me, and I didn’t even notice it until I got closer. Just another incredible moment in the garden! 🌸🌿 Have you ever seen one of these? #therobinsongarden #JaggedAmbushBug #GardenWildlife #NatureDiscovery #GardeningTikTok
