Teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash can be a pain, but you can do like 90% of it inside your house. Here’s how: You will need two rubber bowls (the ones I use are linked in my bio under Products I Actually Use and Recommend) Space them 2 to 3 feet apart Drop a treat in one bowl, let your dog eat it, then drop a treat in the other bowl. Rotate back-and-forth . When your dog starts to predict the pattern and move to the next bowl on his own, pause. Wait to drop the next treat until your dog offers eye contact first . When your dog is consistently offering eye contact, space the bowls further apart. Now add your “let’s go” cue. Your dog is doing the behavior anyway, you might as well give it a name so you can ask your dog for it in the future on walks.
