LONDONERS COULD GET £500 FOR SNITCHING ON TUBE FARE DODGERS UNDER PROPOSED PLANS. 🚇💰 Businessman Alex Challoner, who is seeking to become a candidate for London Mayor, has proposed rewarding people who help catch serial fare dodgers with 25% of the money recovered by Transport for London. This could include unpaid fares, penalty fares and compensation awarded by the courts. Challoner highlighted the case of a fare dodger ordered to pay more than £2,100 after travelling 181 times without paying. Under his proposed scheme, someone who helped expose the offender could potentially receive around £500.
