This water heater install has a little bit of EVERYTHING. 😭😂 First, pouring a small concrete slab over the dirt floor so the new unit has a solid base? That part makes sense. 👏 Then comes the removal of the old water heater… Which apparently required beating the absolute life out of it for reasons Brad cannot identify. And THEN we get to the plumbing. SharkBite. SharkBite. Another SharkBite. And somehow… more SharkBites. 😂 Push-to-connect fittings absolutely have their uses, but Brad knows there are plumbers watching this installation counting every fitting and slowly losing their minds. There’s also a drain pan underneath the new unit—which isn’t exactly hurting anything—but considering the water heater is sitting over a rock-and-dirt floor, Brad has some questions about what exactly we’re protecting down there. 👀 And finally: “HOT water heater.” Brad cannot let that one go.
