Tesla’s Roadster can flip itself midair. Reserving one takes $50,000 upfront and a lot of patience. The car uses 10 nozzles and 250 kilos of compressed air for its thruster stunts, and Elon Musk said the tanks can recharge while it’s driving. Tesla claimed a 230 mph top speed, and Musk said the production version could target Mach 0.5. Tesla announced the Roadster in 2017 and originally said deliveries would begin in 2020. Musk now says production starts in 2028, and Thursday’s event came two weeks after the Oct. 1 date was pushed back. His review after the landing: “Well, it worked.” #tesla #teslaroadster #elonmusk #teslatok #flyingcars
