Diego Cusano looks at ordinary objects and sees characters, animals and whole scenes hiding in them ✏️ The Italian illustrator, who calls himself a "Fantasy Researcher", combines simple pencil drawings with real everyday objects. On their own, neither the drawing nor the object means much. Put together, they turn into a tiny visual joke you get in one second. This video is full of them. Kitchen ingredients, desk supplies, tools and flowers all get a second life. A nail clipper turns into a piano, a sailboat and a helicopter, a corkscrew becomes a ballerina, garlic becomes a pair of geese, Swiss cheese becomes SpongeBob, spaghetti becomes freshly blow-dried hair, a tape measure becomes a giraffe and a sprig of hyacinth becomes Marge Simpson's famous blue hair. What makes his work so clever is that the objects stay completely recognizable. He doesn't hide what they are. He just draws the right scene around them, and suddenly a shape everyone walks past every day becomes something new. Next time you look at the things around you, look twice. One of them might be a character waiting for its drawing 🎨 Artist: @Diego Cusano #art #illustration #drawing #creative #artist
