Yeah, there's a lot that I want to say about this. Um, so let's get into it. I first want to address the tethering though, because I do see a lot of autistic families that utilize tethering with their autistic children. And I do just want to say that it's not the safest task for a child or for a dog. If you cannot responsibly watch your own child, tethering it to your dog and then making your dog make sure your child doesn't run off is not it. Like, if you're going to put a leash on your kid, tether the leash to yourself, not your dog. It's not their responsibility. It's yours. Now, the second thing that I want to bring up from this video is the second part of that video where she says her job never ends. That's also bad. As service dog users, yes, we do rely very heavily on our dogs to help us mitigate our disabilities on a day-to-day basis. But we also allow our dogs to be dogs. They are not working 24/7 around the clock all the time. They get breaks. They get to go run, they get to go play, they get to go be dogs. We take them on vacations. The dog's job ends, just like ours do. Could you imagine coming home and working 24/7 around the clock, never having a break? You would burn out. So, same thing with our service animals. Yes, we work them for what we need them to work for, but after that, they get breaks.
