Reply to @jo.mark Pls tell us about Homestuck from throwing buckets at people to taking baths with sharpie water, the Homestuck fan base has a..interesting history HOMESTUCK BY ANDREW HUSSIE BOOK 1: ACTS 1 & 2 Homestuck first released in 2009. it was a mix of an interactive comic and flash game Homestuck soon gained a large fan base and Homestuck cosplayers overtook conventions in fact a lot of popular convention traditions were popularized by Homestuck fans for example in character cosplay panels but they also did some pretty odd stuff for example the Spit Bucket where Homestuck cosplayers spit in a bucket and then just passed it around this one is definitely more tame it's basically just spin the bottle Homestuck cosplayers would use gray body paint in order to look like the characters and there was actually a point where conventions banned Homestuck cosplayers all together because they would wear unsealed body paint and get gray paint everywhere if I remember correctly, one hotel had to put a sign on their hot tub because cosplayers were getting in the hot tub and making the water gray there were also people who were desperate to be like their favorite characters everything EVERYTHING everything :33 < everything Everything 3V3RYTHING everything D --> everything EvErYtHiNg everything everyt) ing now this ranged from harmless things like changing their text style to their favorite character's style to eating chalk because their favorite character did.. but I think perhaps the most bizarre case of someone wanting to be like their favorite character is when someone threw a bucket at a Kartkat cosplayer because they said it was "in character of them to do so" and the bucket broke the Kartkat cosplayer's nose remember how there were rumors of someone going to the bathroom in the Dashcon ball pit? yeah that was rumored to be a Homestuck fan there's also that time where this is a fan took a bath full of idea Sharpie water this because they wanted their skin to be gray idea I have a whole video on that if you wanna know the full story or the time someone wanted to cosplay Tavros so they super glued horns to their head THAT TIME I SUPERGLUED HORNS TO MY HEAD (shout out to alastair casey lol) let my suffering bring you Joy and who could forget the time that a Homestuck fan spent $10,000 for their character to be in one panel of Homestuck also I heard a rumor that this was apparently an army veteran and that they had found comfort in Homestuck while they were deployed not sure if that's true, but it's pretty interesting but yes Homestuck fans are quite crazy BROADWAY KARKAT from making their own parody musical KEEP CALM and JAZZ HANDS to having their very own prom you can't fight the Homestuck if you have any other fandom or convention stories you want me to cover let me know :) Grand Dreams Photography
