Fans ship themselves with fictional characters all the time, but it never becomes canon.... BUT it did this time with Allan from Smiling Friends. This is Emme and over the past few years she's made multiple Smiling Friends plush models. But she definitely has a favourite character. She is an Allan yumeshipper. Which basically means she ships herself with the character Allan from Smiling Friends. She became quite popular in the Smiling Friends community because of her life size plushies, her one to one renditions of scenes from the show, and obviously her love for Allan. In February of 2026, it was announced that Smiling Friends would be ending after three seasons. And in the second to last episode of the entire series, they decided to do something special. They included Emme in the episode. In the scene, Alan paints 100 paintings of his muse. And I'm not kidding. The episode credits her as "Allan's Muse". Emme was understandably both very excited and surprised by this. She also mentioned that one of the creators liked her joke tweet where she said that she should be Alan's canonical wife as compensation for the show ending early. I mean, come on, they're practically canon. They are each other's muses!! And if you're interested, yes, a mini version of the art scene has been made. She also made a great point. She said that the show could have easily made fun of her, but instead they gave her a genuine tribute and I think that's adorable. She also wrote a very heartfelt message when the show ended about how it brought back her creative drive, and I think you should read it. It's so sweet. One thing is for sure, this is a ship that definitely deserves to be canon.
