Coding is not enough anymore. There is this weird idea that a lot of people believe that they can just learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, apply to 10 jobs, and land a six-figure job in six months of learning code. That might have been possible three or four years ago, but in this economy, learning the basics of coding is not enough anymore. Let's look at this role, okay? This is a full-stack developer role from DoctusTech Inc on Indeed, right? Not only do you need HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and React, but you also have to learn like Linux, deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, ORMs, and backend languages. And okay, this is a full-stack app, but it just comes to show you that a 60 grand a year job is requiring a lot of knowledge. And that's just the reality of it, okay? I don't mean to burst your bubble, but a to-do app is not going to do it for you. Instead, what you need is a deeper fundamental knowledge of not just coding, but the overall idea of computer science, data structures and algorithms, even knowing some backend if you're a front-end developer, software architecture, and building big projects that people will be impressed with, rather than a basic to-do app.
